Meet girlhouse. Originally from Portland, Lauren Luiz’s journey to forming girlhouse has taken her from there to Bristol, Los Angeles, New York, The White House – as part of a sign-language version of a Broadway musical – and now her current home of Nashville. A successful actor as well as a songwriter, girlhouse is Lauren’s bedroom-pop project, taking a similar minimal-pop approach as artists like Snail Mail or Frankie Cosmos.
But don’t get the reviews wrong because she’s absolutely doing her own thing.
