Fuzz pop band Mary Anne’s Polar Rig Share New Single

Mary Anne’s Polar Rig is a 4-piece fuzz pop band led by front woman Malin Hofvander. Since their inception in 2016 they have established themselves as the overall-wearing punks that balance 90’s in-your-face rock with pleasant pop-esque songwriting.

In 2018 the quartet debuted with their first 7” ‘Surfaced’ via Malmö-driven Kollektivet Records.

The band was brought together when drummer Philip Lindskog discovered Hofvanders SoundCloud which was filled with recordings that she had kept mostly for herself. Lindskog later brought in Harald Ingvarsson on guitar and Jesper Olsson on bass and the group hit it off. They never used those demo recordings as Hofvander explains: “Having a potential rock band in front of me, a childhood dream come true, really inspired me to write new songs that would go with the setting and sound that we had created”.

Have a listen to “It Goes,” from their upcoming LP “Makes You Wonder”, out March 24, to see what they’re all about.
