Songwriter Lauren Curtius is more than Enough

A longtime musician, songwriter, and DIY artist who first entered the Southern California music scene as a teenager, Lauren Curtius found success quickly as one fourth of a cult favorite indie rock group she no longer wishes to affiliate herself with. After getting signed, touring extensively and releasing 4 full length albums and several EPs and singles, she eventually left the industry after escaping an abusive relationship that left her grappling with complex post-traumatic stress disorder.

Now fully recovered, grown, and going it alone, Curtius is on the cusp of her solo debut with her self-produced single Enough. Recorded by Curtius alone at her home, Enough sees her returning to share part of her story through a carefully crafted, dreamy and introspective composition.

Known for crafting pop melodies that are enveloped in atmospheric, thoughtful instrumentation, her engaging lyricism remains sweetly sung with a voice that is undeniably compelling. Now though, her voice is imbued with the fervor of a woman who has rebuilt her life from the ground up and stands determined to unapologetically occupy space. Her natural, unhurried air of authenticity will stop you in your tracks and implore you to reflect on your traumas, hopes, and dreams.

Just beginning to step into sharing her truth, her hope is that other survivors of emotional and sexual abuse will feel seen by her upcoming body of work.

Still, the relatability of her message is undeniable and no matter what kind of struggles we have faced, the meanings and emotional revelations within feel universal.

Accompanied by colorful video game character-inspired visuals produced by Curtius herself.
