What is Girl Gang?
Girl Gang Music is a curated community and network of women and nonbinary humans within the music industry. We are songwriters, artists, producers, journalists, photographers, managers, agents, instrumentalists, and innovators within the industry.
Girl Gang Music’s mission is to promote community and inclusion for women and gender diverse people across all aspects of the music industry. We do this through celebrating the works and triumphs of those already thriving in music and, ultimately — through fostering collaboration and mentorship — to develop a pipeline for girls and gender diverse youth to confidently get involved in music.
Where We Came From
Girl Gang Music was founded in 2016 by music producer/artist and activist Jen Miller. If you’re interested, you can read about the inspiration behind the idea and Jen’s first-hand letter to readers here.

Girl Gang Music’s playlist network on Spotify has a following of 10,000 music lovers. Each playlist is hand curated with music created exclusively by — or with the inclusion of — women or nonbinary creatives.
Our playlist following is 30,000 and growing, thanks to the community. We ask if you submit songs to the playlists that you follow and check out the other artists on the playlist beforehand.
